Who started making all the rules up for worship anyway? How can you tell if a song is not “congregational” simply because it doesn’t fit into the small little world known as YOUR reference point! So here is something interesting….I have been pushing this song on people for sometime now thanks to my good friend Brad, each time people would push back on me and tell me…”this is not congregational I don’t see how this could work for the church”…..HUH?
So as you know I’m here in Houston hanging out with the UNITED crew and last night during the service pops up a little song called “How He Loves”…check it out.
opps…pretty much screws up that theory!

love it!
did Annie Garratt sing it?
I love this song, My heart breaks everytime I hear it only because of the story behind it, but we sing it in our sunday morning worship service. So take that (to the person(s) who told you that) . I am hoping to see you in Chicago next week so keep your fingers crossed we can get tickets.
We’re singing it in our church and I know we’re not the only “congregation”. Glad to see UNITED embrace it too. I’m glad you love the song as much as I do.
this song is so awesome – and as far as I know anyone who hears it is totally floored. we do it at one of our smaller, less attended services, but i still think it should be at our main contemporary one.
we struggle with doing some other songs from jesus culture – they really really break and touch me and make me worship in new deeper ways, but the congregation does not necessarily respond the way i do. it’s so subjective. most of them think all those songs are too repetitive. aaah. you just can’t win…
