“Graduations, promotions, trophies, kudos, varsity letter, Salesperson of the Year awards, President’s Club membership, and such represent the glory and glamour. Corner offices and big money are also part of the glory and glamour. However, it is the invisible, day-to-day, behind-the-scenes toil and gruntwork that many people don’t see, appreciate, or do. It is the gruntwork that counts and begets the glory. It is the homework, the early mornings, the weekend travel away from home, the checking and rechecking, the trial and error, and the endless hours of inch-by-inch progress that the glamour makes. If you begrudge the gruntwork you will not get the glory.” Jeffrey J. Fox

This statement should be placed up on your wall…at home…at the office….in your car where ever you can see it at all times. That way the next time you are so focused on who got what…did what…and what title he/she has….you can ask yourself….Have I done the gruntwork yet? People hate the small credit-less things, but I am here to tell you…that is how you create value and become an asset to your company. Stop worrying about who’s job it was to get something done…You do it! Stop being the person who doesn’t like the question “why”….embrace the “why’s” and make it better!

This can be applied to anything in life.
-A seeker of Faith
-A artist.
-A friend.
-A spouse.
-A teacher.
-A songwriter.
-A parent.
-A blogger.
-A speaker.
……whatever it is…the small movements you make…COUNT! Just keep pushing through…Be Well.
